Christine Pefine said her dad, sister, sister's boyfriend, brother and nephew were displaced after the fire destroyed their home at 129 Forest Street on Monday, Sept. 5.

"They lost literally everything and the home is a total loss," Pefine wrote in a GoFundMe organized on their behalf. "While I'm thankful they are all alive, I'm sad they have nothing and they lost their beloved cat Cali."

Each member is now staying elsewhere, so the purpose of the GoFundMe is to help get each family member "back on their feet."

"Our family has endured many losses the past few years, one of them being our mom who passed away in that house on December 1, 2019," Pefine wrote. "My family would usually never ask for donations but they do truly need all of the help they can get."

The campaign had raised more than $4,100 of its $10,000 goal as of Thursday. People can donate by clicking here
